Strutz was back bigger & better last Sunday with delicious food & treats, live music & raffles, fabulous things up for auction and of course, lots of stylish hounds strutting their stuff on the dogwalk.
This year we we were supporting two exceptional animal charities; PDSA who started in 1917 & care for so many animals through a UK-wide network of 48 animal hospitals; and Wild at Heart Foundation, which was founded by Nikki Tibbles of Wild At Heart, supporting animal welfare projects, particularly dog rescue, adoption and rehoming.
The show was compered by the amazing Anna Webb (below with her English Toy Terrier Mr Binks) who introduced Stacey from the PDSA, to talk about the great work that they do; then Nikki Tibbles (also below) who founded Wild at Heart Foundation who gave a heartfelt speech about the charity and in particular the wonderful rescue dogs who were taking part in the show (more about these amazing dogs below).
Just like last year, we were overwhelmed by the generosity of our suppliers – from small local brands to some of the most well established pet brands from around the world – who donated so many amazing jumpers, coats, harnesses, leads and collars for the dog models to wear.
We had over 45 stylish dogs of all shapes, sizes & breeds strut their stuff on the dogwalk – from brave rescues such as Maggie the Wunder Dog to Instagram famous dogs such as Hugo & Huxley, Busy Body Biscuit & Tom Bully, as well as some of our favourite four-legged friends who are regular visitors to our King’s Road boutique (for grooming & treats).
All of the outfits were auctioned off after the show, along with dog beds, hotel stays & an exclusive photoshoot which was so kindly donated by the very talented celebrity pet photographer, Lucy Sewill.

We were very lucky to be joined by Maggie the Wunderdog (below in a LMH handmade bandana) who was rescued from the streets of Beirut by Wild at Heart Foundation. She had been tied up and used as target practice, had both eyes pulled out and her ear cut off. Thanks to the generosity of donors she has a happy home in Brighton with her human Kasey & spends her time spreading love as a therapy dog.
And she certainly won a lot of hearts on Sunday, bringing a smile to everyone’s faces with her loving spirit. As Kasey says, she teaches us “it’s okay to be different or unconventional because that’s what makes us beautiful”.
Maggie was joined by four other Wild at Heart rescue dogs, all with moving stories of their own – Indy & Spud who were rescued from Cyprus, Albert who was found alone & scared by a busy road in Bosnia, and Elly (below) who has climbed Ben Nevis & Snowdon, and even run marathons with her adopted human Fiona.
We’re proud to announce that so far we’ve been able to raise almost £3k (and counting) for our charities. Unfortunately the rain did catch up with us on Sunday so we weren’t able to auction everything off. We’ll be auctioning them instead at our Christmas shopping event (also in aid of Wild at Heart Foundation & PDSA). So keep an eye on our social channels (links in the footer) for more information.
And finally – we couldn’t have hosted the event or raised this much for charity without the support of our partners & sponsors, in particular @kingsroadchelsea, Sloane Stanley and Knight Frank. As well as everyone who set up a stall to provide food, treats & giveaways – Furry Chef, Hugo & Celine, ByBenji, The Country Dog Hotel, The Rockster, Adios Plastic, For All DogKind and Humble Pizza. And of course, all of the other brands who donated items for modelling & auction as well as raffles & goodie bags – Bartock & Boog, Beautiful Joes, Buddys, Clementine, Cloud7, Dogs & Horses, Dorwest Herbs, 2.8 Duepuntootto, Fetch & Follow, Four&Sons, Furry Chef, Henry Wag, Hindquarters, Labbvenn, Lilly Pet Shop, max-bone, MiaCara, Mutts & Hounds, Park Barkers, Ruffwear, See Scout Sleep, TagNBrag, Teddy Maximus, The Dog House, Travel Wags & Vackertass.
We can’t wait to do it all again next year!
